     William G. “Willie” Clement, Sr., 70, of Peoria, passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at home.
     He was born on May 16, 1943 in Springfield, a son of Clifford T. and Velma P. (Cook) Clement. They preceded him in death, along with his son, Barry Scott Clement. He was formerly married to Harriet Hudson. He married Sandra Clark on February 15, 1989 in Peoria. She survives.
     Willie is also survived by his children, William G. Clement, Jr. of Riverview, FL, Cheryl L. Taylor of Tulsa, OK and Jeremiah Clark of Peoria; brothers, Clifford (Judy), Jim (Ruthie), Larry (Verna), Tom (Vickie) and John (Barb) Clement, all of Springfield; sisters, Pat Knox, Linda (Roger) Harmon, Susan (Howard) Fouks and Nancy (Dave) Hamilton, all of Springfield, and Diana (Bill) Callahan of Riverton and Cathy (Tom) Roman of Oklahoma.
     He retired in 2002, as a meat cutter for Raber Packing Company in Peoria. He loved spending time on the farm with his animals and going to farm auctions. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by many. His memory will forever be in our hearts.
     At Willie’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. He wanted to be remembered for who he was, not what he is now.
     Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
